Race Information
Race HQ:
We will once again be using St Michael's Church as the Race HQ, which will be open from 8:30am. This is where the race registration will take place. There are toilet facilities available in the church.
Number Collection:
These are collected on the day, so please arrive in plenty of time and collect your running number between 8:30am and 9:45am. Signs at race HQ will indicate which queue you should be in. Please bring ID or email confirmation of your entry. Race Officials will be on hand to help you.
Baggage Area:
The baggage area is located within the church. Please note this is an indoor unsecured area and all items are left entirely at the owner’s risk.
Facilities and Refreshments:
Toilets are situated in the church. There will be limited changing facilities so it would be best to arrive ready changed to run. After the run, refreshments and prize presentations will take place at the village hall, which is a short walk from the finish line. There will be complementary teas and coffees and a bacon roll or cake for all finishers. The Kings Arms will also be serving up some festive cheer – details to follow.
Start and Finish Area and Course:
The start will be outside the church. Please arrive in this area in good time for the start of the race at 10am/10:15am, depending on which race you have entered. This is where there will be a briefing by race officials before the start of the race. When starting and finishing, make sure you run through the signposted finish area so your race number can be recorded. There will be marshals guiding you around the course and water stations at regular intervals. We will also have two St John's Ambulance paramedics on hand, in case anyone gets into any difficulties.
Parking:
There is no parking at the Race HQ but there is limited on-road parking around the village. Parking is available at Bicton Home Farm, EX9 7BY. There is a path from there to take you into Otterton. Please do not under any circumstances park in the Otterton Mill car park. Vehicles and their contents are left entirely at owner’s risk.
Results:
A link to race results will be displayed on this site after the race.
The race will be run under Association of Running Clubs rules (Event Permit No. ARC/24/0774) and entrants must be of amateur status. Online entry will be considered as acceptance of the governing body rules and a declaration that you will compete on foot and run entirely at your own risk. The organizers and race sponsors accept no responsibility for participants’ failure to observe these requirements. The minimum age for the main race competitors is 16. Details of any current medical conditions, medication or allergies must be entered on the back of your race number.
